Seth Jarvis of the Carolina Hurricanes has been fined five thousand dollars by the NHL Player Safety Department. The fine is for a high-sticking incident involving Conor Garland of the Columbus Blue Jackets. The incident occurred during a game on Tuesday night. Garland suffered a facial injury and required medical attention. Jarvis received a double-minor penalty for the infraction.
