Outgoing chief minister BS Yediyurappa’s close confidant, state home minister Basavaraj Bommai, will be the new chief minister of Karnataka. He will be sworn in at 11am on Wednesday. BJP central leadership appears set to continue with appointing three deputy CMs, as it did in the BSY government. However, unlike the previous term, sources suggest there may be a change of faces, keeping the 2023 polls in mind. The current deputy CMs are Govind Karjol, CN Ashwath Narayana & Laxman Savadi. While the Bengaluru's Covid-19 caseload is declining, infections on the outskirts, especially in apartment complexes, are still on the higher side. Stay with TOI for more updates:
